A SENSE OF PLACE: A YEAR AT THE ACRES, HELEN EVANS
Following a year-long, self-directed artist-in-residence at The Acres, a flower farm northwest of Brisbane, Helen recorded the farm cycle twice a week. The resulting collection of works explores, extends and shares the sensibility of this exceptional place through its changing light and weather cycles, shifting moods and motifs of the landscape as the year progressed.

David’s current body of work approaches painting within the context of the digital age, using Photoshop he expresses the immediate connection between the electrical machine and its transference via his fingertip to his inner nerve network. David presents electronically printed images, using mark making with paint and canvas linking the flow of water with the flow of electricity.

Adjusting to the highs and lows of life experiences can often change the style of a painting. Michele explores and shares the evolution and revolution of her life as an artist using colour to represent the renewal of energy that expresses her feelings and observations of life.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and to support this heartfelt cause, Studio One Noosa are painting the town pink with a colourful art fundraiser featuring a host of local artists. Fully donated pieces will be auctioned off in-house and online at an event on Saturday, 26 October from 5pm.

Residing in the Noosa Hinterland, Terri’s art reflects her appreciation of horses, the ocean, and the natural environment and her connection with these passions. Terri is best known for her classically styled equine portraiture in oil on linen canvas, and mixed media works on unique papers.
