Business Buzz with Sunshine Coast Business Awards
Celebrating 30 years in 2025, the Sunshine Coast Business Awards kicked off festivities, with a brilliant breakfast to mark the start of Small Business Month, writes Rebecca Jamieson Dwyer.
The Sunshine Coast Business Awards are officially underway for 2025, marking 30 years of celebrating the region’s thriving business community.
This year’s program launched with a buzzing breakfast event that brought together local leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs. A full house turned out to hear from Small Business Commissioner Dominique Lamb, along with other inspiring speakers covering everything from cutting-edge pet care and sleep science to property tech and ecommerce growth – a true showcase of the Coast’s business diversity.
Sunshine Coast Business Awards Committee Chair Jennifer Swaine said the event reflects the incredible evolution of the region’s economy.
“With over 43,000 small businesses now on the Sunshine Coast, these awards play a vital role in recognising excellence, fuelling growth, and strengthening our business connections,” she said.
“We love celebrating and championing this community, and we urge all local businesses to apply – you’ll learn so much about yourself and your business in the process.”
Entries are open until August – so there’s still time to be part of this milestone year. Something tells us it’s going to be the biggest and best yet!
We’re proud to be past winners in the Creative Industries category – and now sponsors of this great initiative.
