When it comes to a better business model that literally profits the community, Deb Caruso discovers an organisation where you can bank on it.

Over the last financial year, more than $40 million has been injected into communities by Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s Community Bank model, providing funding for 8021 projects.

Bendigo Bank’s unique Community Bank model has now been embraced by more than 300 communities including the Community Bank branches of Tewantin-Noosa, Cooroy and Marcoola which have supported the region that supports them for the past 22 years.

In the last financial year alone they have reinvested nearly $5 million into local projects to empower more than 70 community organisations!

Supporting causes and organisations including accommodation for those fleeing domestic violence, Katie Rose Cottage Hospice, Red Frogs, Sunny Coast Showdown, Cooroy Badminton Club, Noosa Coast Guard, the Rural Fire Brigade, Noosa Alive, Noosa Open Studios, the Noosa Biosphere Awards and more – it’s safe to say that Community Bank Sunshine Coast is contributing to real positive change in our region.

Community Bank representatives recently recognised the work of the organisations it supports and that’s just one of the reasons that IN Publishing recently put our money where our mouth is and switched to be with the bank that truly cares about the Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions: Bendigo Community Bank Sunshine Coast.

Branch Manager Kerryn Vincart has supported us through the transition, making the process of switching our business account feel as easy and stress-free as possible. We’re thrilled
to be banking with Community Bank Sunshine Coast. Here’s to the power of standing together as a community – we hope you’ll join us!

Community Bank representatives recently recognised the work of the organisations it supported bringing together representatives from 40 of the 70 local organisations supported by Bendigo Bank over the past financial year.

Through its profit-with-purpose model, Bendigo Bank reinvests up to 80% of its profits into local projects, fostering positive change at grassroots level. The evening celebrated the tireless efforts of these organisations in strengthening the community and the region.
