Cupful of Passion with Heart Therapeutics

How did a Noosa tea brand catch the attention of one of the world’s largest lifestyle brands? Jodie Cameron talks tea-rrific times with a heartfelt founder.

Relax, pop on the kettle and settle in – because Heart Therapeutics is steeping something special, and I got all the goop, I mean goss from the brand’s founder and qualified Naturopath Misha Moran, as we lean into the coziness of winter, its rituals and wellness routines.

Crafted with medicinal-grade botanicals and infused with a deep sense of heart and soul, Heart Therapeutics teas have officially joined the Goop Australian Curation – the first-ever local brand showcase for the US wellness empire founded by actress Gwyneth Paltrow. It’s a major milestone for the boutique brand, and one Misha didn’t expect to arrive quite so soon.

“Six years ago I was at the Coolum markets, which feels like a dress rehearsal now,” Misha shared. “We only relaunched in May 2024 and have achieved so much in just 12 months.”

Achievements such as the recent inclusion of the products at the Kailo Summit curated by Kailo Nutrition + Medispa at The Star in Brisbane – where Misha hosted a pop-up alongside other curated brands, while featuring in the luxe Goop goodie bags.

The summit included a lavish experiential four-day retreat at The Calile Hotel, where the Noosa Mint Tea was served as the welcome drink, and integrated into dessert courses and wellness moments throughout the event.

“Goop has never partnered with Australian brands before, so to be the only tea brand in the group is huge and made the rigorous approval process totally worth it,” Misha says.

A herbal tea lover from way back, Day Dreams aka Jasmine Green Tea with a hint of sweet orange peel is my blend of choice, but as Misha’s right-hand superstar Eloise sets down a pot of Rise & Shine, it’s zesty aromatics permeates, as Misha shares her passion for purpose in every pot!

“To be shoulder-to-shoulder with international brands was a standout experience for our little Noosa brand,” beamed Misha. “The alignment felt natural, everyone got what we do, and it was heartwarming to hear ‘we already drink your tea!’ – that was a special moment for Eloise and I.”

Heart Therapeutics’ story is one of intention, integrity, and timing, and as temperatures drop and hug-me-mugs fill, there’s never been a better time to discover this homegrown brand that’s turning heartfelt tea into soulful healing, with every sip.

But Heart Therapeutics isn’t just another pretty label in the wellness aisle, it’s built on therapeutic foundations – Misha spent years treating clients with herbal extracts before blending those same formulations into infusions that became her luxe range.

“Some of our blends, like Rancho Relaxo, started as liquid extracts for stress, sleep and anxiety,” Misha says. “I’ve just reimagined them into immersions – to make healing accessible in a daily ritual.”

That therapeutic approach is what sets the brand apart – no fillers, no trendy gimmicks, just whole-leaf herbs, blended by hand in their Noosa warehouse, using hyper local small-batch growers who supply medical-grade herbal medicine.

“Our difference is quite literally the ingredients because they are all incredibly considered,” Misha explains. “We source our native botanicals from Indigenous communities, and my Naturopathic roots have ensured we have solid connections, and beautiful relationships with our suppliers.”

Sustainability is at the heart of everything Misha does. From glass jars, cork lids, compostable packaging, and a solar-powered warehouse, even the decision to avoid tea bags is rooted in purpose.

“I will never process my blends into tea bags, only to sit in boxes and lose their integrity,” Misha says. “No matter how compostable or natural, they are still bound with gums, and that will never align with our values. We want full potency and integrity in every cup.”

Which brings us to winter – peak tea drinking season, when the need for comfort, immunity, and stillness sends many of us reaching for a warm mug, and for Heart Therapeutics, it’s when their blends truly shine!

The Goop goodie bags featured three of their most-loved flavours including All Heart – a nurturing, cardiovascular-supporting blend with hawthorn leaf, berry, and flower; Rise and Shine – a gently energising tea with Siberian ginseng and astragalus; and Noosa Mint Tea – a refreshing yet grounding brew that is served as the welcome drink at The Calile Hotel.

Blending everything in-house, local stockists means everything – from Noosa Springs Day Spa to Belmondos, the first-ever stockist Little Cove Collective, Makepeace Island, Bottoms Up Colonics, Paradise Lifestyle, Alchemy in Motion, Noosa Regional Gallery and White’s IGA.

“We’re always listening to our stockists, so we are launching classic blends like Just English Breakfast and Earl Grey – designed for bulk hospitality orders in sleek new tins, which is exciting for our café, restaurant and accommodation partners.”

A fun fact about Misha? She doesn’t actually drink black tea!

“I am drawn to the herbs and plants that have been used for thousands of years for the same reasons we still use them today,” Misha explained. “It’s about sourcing a black tea that aligns with us and our ethos.”

Despite scaling up fast, Misha is clear: the brand will always stay true to its roots, they are not a classic tea brand, and her journey from market stalls to luxury day spas, and now a global stage – yet, she says they are just getting started!

“To see our logo alongside global fashion brands like Dissh and Goop, and now shipping orders to The Ritz Carlton in Honolulu – it’s surreal,” she says.

Watch this space – tea-licious sips are brewing for this heart-led herbal powerhouse!
