01 Sep Deconstructed Fashion Workshop
Designer Debra Cheyne of Butterscotch Castle invites you to join her for this Deconstructed Fashion Workshop. She would love to share her skills and passion with you in a workshop where you’ll learn some of her deconstructing fashion techniques. Debra has been deconstructing fashion to create unique sustainable clothing for her brand Butterscotch Castle for 14 years now. In February this year Debra took part in New York Fashion Week show casing her unique sustainable and ethically made designs at New York’s Sustainable Fashion Day 2020.
During this workshop you will be creating alongside Deb as she shares her story & fashionable sustainability skills with the attendees who will be learning valuable tips & tricks to innovate sustainably in their own wardrobes,
In this workshop you’ll be introduced to the concept of how, with minimal deconstructing and sewing you can create a complete new design from a mans shirt. Debra will be there guiding you through the process , but a sewing machine and basic skill set will be required to participate fully during the workshop. There will be a choice of three designs so you can create your own unique garment on the day. Lace and embellishing materials will also be supplied to customize your new custom created #imadeitmyself garment.
Shirts will be provided and are included in the cost.
You will need to have good basic sewing skills
You will need to bring your own sewing machine and cottons.
Light refreshments will be provided plus tea & coffee.
BYO lunch as we be stopping for a small lunch break – there is a large fridge & kitchenette for storage.
Sorry No Refunds – but we will ABSOLUTELY help you reschedule into another workshop for a later time if something unexpected crops up that you can’t make it to your workshop. (excluding no shows & within 24 hrs of event)
