School Holiday hands-on creative workshop with chocolate!
Suitable for ages 5 – 12 years.
The medium of chocolate is an art form not for the feint hearted….understanding the science of couverture whilst maintaining delicate hands & a creative mind….all at the same time!
In our workshops, students will practice both creative & calculated scientific hands-on skills, together with delicacy & patience while working with both melted and tempered (hard)chocolate types.
Students will congregate in the KOKOPOD chocolate shop to prepare their aprons and hands for class, before being welcomed into THE CHOCOLATE LAB with a Single Origin Hot chocolate. A mini educational tasting on some of our favourite chocolate varieties (white / milk / caramel / dark) begins and after the short briefing , entering into a world of chocolate is sure to send their taste buds wild & knock their socks off!
Children will be soley responsible for hand-dipping house-made honeycomb into a chosen chocolate variety. They will also craft marshmallow from scratch and structure their very own rocky road creation with the likes of popping candy, freeze dried fruit & a number of other wild selections!
THE LAB creations are packaged ready for taking home…some of the freshest chocolate you ever did taste!
All products are Gluten-Free and the dark varieties are Dairy Free.
* Children must arrive 15 mins prior to the class time scheduled.
*Parents are welcome to view through the windows of the chocolate store, or alternatively are welcome to visit the Ginger Factory parklands and return upon pick-up time scheduled.
*Enclosed shoes must be worn. Children are to work unassisted by family to enable COVID-SAFE numbers are kept. 10 students per class.
