Film With Food!

Slow Food Noosa’s annual Film with Food event as part of NOOSA alive! has consistently sold out for more than a decade. This year was no different with the delectably delightful Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche providing the side dish to a stunning three-course feast prepared by three of Noosa’s best chefs.

The movie Chocolat was no match for our Noosa chefs who, inspired by the film, made the most of local ingredients to present a ménage à troi to set any heart racing.

Paired with a chilli chocolate (if you’ve seen the movie you will understand!), superb French sparkling on arrival and a crowd eager to devour every moment, morsel and magic of the night – it was a huge success!

Highlights include Aden’s perfectly smooth and flavoursome pâté; Matt’s chocolate jus and Lisa’s rose sherbet. The chefs outdid themselves with a performance deserving of the highest academy awards!

Oh and the raffle prizes generously donated by Noosa Springs allowed the not-for-profit Slow Food Noosa team to make a great contribution to their ongoing programs such as Snail of Approval, School Kitchen Gardens and more!
