The annual Gympie State High School Paddock-to-Plate dinner was another triumph with Matt Golinski working alongside the next generation of producers and chefs, as Deb Caruso discovers.

The future of agriculture and hospitality looks bright if the students of Gympie State High School are any indication.

Working alongside passionate local chef Matt Golinski, the next generation of industry professionals plan, prepare and deliver a paddock-to-plate feast to a hungry audience.

Planning generally begins a year ahead, to plant the seeds and prepare the stock for the event with Matt regularly checking in and sharing his knowledge of produce and cooking techniques with hospitality, home economics and agriculture students.

The end result is an event that showcases local flavours in a true paddock-to-plate experience with
the students delivering every aspect, including theming the room and serving the eager guests. The future looks bright!
