Located in Coolum Industrial Estate and open by appointment, not only will you experience an incredibly diverse range of swatches, fabrics and wallpapers up close – carefully curated and sourced from around the world – but you’ll also benefit from Creative Director Melanie Moore’s many years of experience and passion for all things soft furnishings. Whether you’re a homeowner, a business owner or an interior designer, Melanie will work with you to bring your interiors dreams to life and, because all soft furnishings are crafted in-house using traditional techniques, there’s no limit to what you can create.
“From huge curved seats for built-in benches to two-tone curtains, cushions with piping, roman blinds with decorative elements and so much more, the sky’s the limit – if you can dream it, we can do it,” she explains.
Starting in the industry when she was just a teenager, Melanie is a master craftsperson who has taught the dying art of hand-crafting curtains, blinds and soft furnishings to her young, passionate team.
“I believe there’s something very special about an item that’s been made by hand,” she said. “I could easily expand the business by incorporating automation and large machinery, but for me, that would take the joy and creativity out of the process, not to mention compromise the quality.
“Local interior designers get so excited when they discover us and realise we can create anything at all – whether it’s a custom bedhead in a particular texture and colour, beautiful outdoor seat covers from luxe materials to match the indoor lounge fabric, or something more unusual like oversized pool daybeds.
“We relish the challenge of creating something different and unexpected!”
When it comes to window furnishings, curtains are an enduringly popular choice for both homes and businesses – from floaty sheers that create the illusion of space and can be used to create privacy and soften views to weighted drapes in rich colours for warmth and cosiness.
