CHINESE NEW YEAR CHEER
Book Chinadina to celebrate Chinese New Year to welcome in Year of the Snake on 29 January, complete with a dancing Chinese Dragon, festive decorations and a special banquet menu designed by head chef Fong Kong Loong!
AWARD WINNERS!
Congrats to Matteo Galetto and Head Chef Alberto Vitassovich of Lucio’s Marina on winning TWO Silver Awards at the National Restaurant & Catering Awards for Italian Restaurant – Formal and Seafood Restaurant – Formal. The Australian Mead Competition saw Amrita Park Meadery winning Best in Class for its Fruit Mead (Melomel); as well as 3x Gold, 8x Silver and 4x Bronze Medals!
Noosa Black Garlic brought home Champion Savoury Preserve, Best in Class, and Gold for their Black Garlic Cloves at the Melbourne Royal Fine Food Awards, plus their Black Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil was awarded Champion Flavoured Oil at the Sydney Royal Show.
The Sunshine Coast Business Awards crowned the best in the region, including food and hospitality winners Maleny Dairies (large) and Green Valley Fingerlimes (small) for the Food and Agribusiness category; Alex Surf Club (large) and Sunny Rays Catering (small) for the Hospitality category; and White’s IGA were inducted into the Hall of Fame. Congrats to finalists and winners!
The Curated Plate 2023 was named Best Small Regional Event at the 2024 Australian Event Awards. Keep an eye out for the 2025 program! Out soon.

Walker’s Seafood has partnered with chef Neil Perry to launch preserved MSC-Certified 100% Australian Albacore Tuna in handy no-drain pouches or premium fillets in jars with Australian first cold pressed olive oil and chilli-infused olive oil. Naturally, Neil has created a ton of tuna recipes – find it in the supermarkets and at premium grocers.
