Yewwww! The Noosa Festival of Surfing is back and better than ever! 

Presented by the Noosa Malibu Club and World Surfaris, the 30th anniversary of the Noosa Festival of Surfing will grace the shores of Noosa from Saturday 15 to Sunday 23 May. Celebrating the joys of surfing, the festival offers a well-rounded program of surf culture, competition, art, live music and film with an invaluable focus on environmental awareness embedded throughout the festival. 

Not competing? No worries! Our friends at Diablo Co and Heads of Noosa have you covered with Solbar Group bringing the Diablo Oasis experience to the shores of Noosa!! Slinging cocktails with the best cocktails using Diablo Alcoholic Ginger Beer and cocktails using the range of 100% local Diablo & Co spirits. Local brews from Heads of Noosa and Black Flag Brewing will add some frost to the froth! oh and BONUS! Food will be served up by our friends at The Ohana Group – yum! Entry to the Beach Bar is FREE with live music from midday – so enjoy the chance to get the sand between your toes and support the locals by buying the best beverages and tasty treats to watch the sun set!

Joining the festival this year will also be Chiggys Skate Festival, a sidewalk surfing event to incorporate the intrinsic connection between surfing and skateboarding.  To be set up in the Noosa Woods each day from 7am with a bar on-site from 2pm – 6pm, its an ideal location to savour a pint as the sun goes down.  

While much has changed over the three decades this iconic celebration of surf culture has been running, many firm favourites still remain including the popular Vetshop Australia Surfing Dog Championships with a barking-good line-up. On the waves youll find Cooper the Golden Retriever and his human Jay, Hugsley the Spanador and his human Paul, Porkchops the British Bulldog with his human Sam, and other superstar hydro hounds at First Point Noosa from 1.30pm, Saturday 15 May. 

Other festival favourites include the Family Challenge event, Open Stand-Up Paddle Surf Event and World Surfaris Open.  Check out the full program here

When its time to dust off the sand,  head to one of the festivals off-site events including live music and free shuttle buses at the Brewery Parties in the Heads of Noosa Taproom; seven-time world surfing champion Layne Beachley will be at the festival for about a week and will be a co-host at a special event at the new Noosa Surfing Museum; and celebrated surf Artist Owen Cavanagh will bring together more than 30 local and international artists for a Surf Art Exhibition at Sofitel Noosa. 

To commemorate three decades of the Noosa Festival of Surfing, surfboard designers Campbell Designed and major sponsors Heads of Noosa have teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind longboard to giveaway.
