This season’s exciting new exhibitions in Noosa’s galleries, studios and arts centres.

NOOSA REGIONAL GALLERY

UNTIL 18 FEBRUARY

Bill Henson: The light fades but the gods remain

This groundbreaking major exhibition offers an unparalleled insight into one
of Australia’s most revered artists, as he visits where he grew up to explore the notion of home, intensifying the everyday to a point of dramatic revelation and romantic beauty.

Kellie O’Dempsey: She Does (working title)

This exhibition gives visual form to the memory and experience of the liminal space between dying and death. In caring for someone exiting this life, Kellie felt like a caretaker of memories and the objects wherein these memories are infused. Drawing on installation, performance and video, O’Dempsey ritualises care and nurtures relationality to quietly honour women’s unseen labour and question the value of care in
a society that values capital.
