Studio Success! at Studio One

Palettes of pink exceeded the fundraising target for McGrath Foundation during Breast Cancer Awareness Month as Studio One Noosa opened its doors and filled its walls with local art for a good cause, as Deb Caruso discovered.

It was art with a lot of heart – and lots of pink – when Studio One Noosa hosted its inaugural Pretty in Pink fundraiser to raise money for the McGrath Foundation during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Marking the end of its dedicated month-long exhibition featuring pink-hued works of 30 local artists, the online auction of works exceeded the $10,000 target to raise funds for McGrath Foundation’s Breast Care Nurses to support individuals and their families dealing with breast cancer.

Almost all the artworks were sold, including two to Sara Leonardi McGrath who said it was wonderful to see artists of Noosa come together for the cause.

“A room full of pink art – all by local artists, was very heartwarming for Glenn and I and will mean a lot to the work of the McGrath Foundation,” she said.

Studio One’s Juanita Van Den Bergh said it was spectacular to have so many local artists participating by donating works with pops of pink.

“The studio was blushed with success and the support of our community!”
