Housed within the Noosa Medical and Professional Centre, GenesisCare Noosa opened its $12 million facility in 2024 as the Noosa Shire’s first comprehensive radiation therapy service, saving the average local cancer patient an estimated 2000km of travel over the course of treatment. Located just 500 metres from Noosa Hospital, the centre offers advanced radiation therapy for most adult cancer types, access to a global network of clinical trials for eligible patients, and allied health services spanning counselling, nutrition, dietetics and physiotherapy.
Beyond the equipment, GenesisCare has built a genuinely holistic model of care. A dedicated Breast Cancer Wellness Clinic — considered the first of its kind in Queensland — supports patients transitioning out of treatment, while a complimentary door-to-door bus service ferries eligible patients in from as far as Gympie, driven by team members who understand the journey firsthand. Radiation Oncologists Dr Bradley Wong, Dr Sophia Ly and Dr David Schlect lead a team focused on treating the person as much as the disease.
