Laser-Sharp Focus at About Faces Noosa

Deb Caruso meets a boutique beautician who’s spent decades turning nursing precision into laser-sharp skin results.

For more than 35 years, Angie Lamb has been passionate about one thing: helping people feel confident, comfortable and beautiful in their own skin. Her career began in nursing, where she became a Registered Nurse and developed the clinical foundation that would later become such an important part of her approach to skin and beauty. Her path took her through beauty therapy and into dermal therapy – each step deepening the clinical expertise she now brings to every treatment.

Eighteen years ago, her career took another exciting turn when she began working extensively with laser technology. Today, Angie is the owner of About Faces Noosa, a private, boutique skin and beauty clinic where clinical expertise and hands-on experience meet some of the most advanced aesthetic technology available.

That clinical grounding hasn’t gone unnoticed. A growing number of local doctors now refer their patients to Angie for the removal of solar keratosis, skin tags and barnacles – trusting her nursing background and laser expertise with treatments that go beyond standard cosmetic work.

“I honestly feel like I was born to do this,” says Angie. “I love people. I love skin. I love making people feel good about themselves. I get such a thrill from seeing the confidence that comes when someone starts to love their skin again.”

Based in Noosa for the past seven years, Angie feels incredibly grateful to have built a loyal community of clients who trust her with their skin. Her clinic offers a truly personal experience: every client begins their journey with Angie herself, allowing her to build a deep understanding of their skin, concerns and goals.

“I never want someone to feel like they’re just coming in to have a treatment,” she says. “I want them to feel listened to, cared for and completely comfortable. I want to know what bothers them about their skin and, more importantly, what will make them feel amazing.”

In addition to the personalised investment in treatments, Angie has also invested in the largest suite of Cutera laser technology on the Sunshine Coast, giving local clients access to an extraordinary range of advanced treatments without having to travel outside the region.

The Cutera Enlighten Pico is one of Angie’s favourites for treating pigmentation, sun damage, uneven skin tone and texture.
Then there’s Angie’s self-described “workhorse”, the Cutera Excel V+. This vascular laser is exceptional for treating redness, rosacea and vascular concerns – and for clients chasing that luminous, ‘glass skin’ look.

“The Excel V+ is one of those machines that can do so much,” Angie says. “Anything red, I want to know about!”

The Cutera Xeo adds another dimension, offering laser hair reduction as well as treatments for vascular concerns and pigmentation. The clinic’s latest-generation resurfacing technology: the Cutera Secret Pro. Combining fractional CO2 laser resurfacing with radiofrequency microneedling, Secret PRO allows Angie to customise treatments from gentler skin rejuvenation through to more intensive resurfacing.
For Angie, having this breadth of technology is important because every person’s skin is different – which is why she tailors every treatment to what each client wants to achieve.

“There isn’t one treatment that is right for everybody,” she explains. “That’s why the consultation is so important. I look at the skin, listen to what the client wants to achieve and then work out what will genuinely give them the best result.”

The clinic also offers Tixel, plasma technology, advanced microdermabrasion and microhydrabrasion, along with a comprehensive range of professional skin treatments – allowing Angie to combine technologies and treatments to create completely individualised skin programs.

For all the impressive technology housed within About Faces Noosa, Angie believes the real difference is the person behind the treatment. Advanced technology may be at the forefront, but it’s her experience, passion and personal approach that sits at the heart of every treatment.

“I absolutely love what I do. I love the science, I love the technology and I love seeing the results, but most of all I love the people,” Angie says.

“This really is the right career for me. I can’t imagine doing anything else.”

Because beautiful skin isn’t just about how you look. It’s about how you feel when you look in the mirror.
