Marek Realty founder Joanne Marek shares how her personalised philosophy and approach has been hard work – but a dream come true.
Owning a boutique real estate agency in Noosa had been a dream of mine for quite some time and in the February of 2016, that dream came true. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, a lot of work has gone into getting us where we are today, but none of that would amount to anything if not for the help from friends, family and the people I work with.
We have deliberately stayed a small boutique agency as I feel this gives us the flexibility to offer a service which we believe is much more personal than with larger agencies. Being small, and community minded, does not mean we are not growing. Our success in the Noosaville precinct has seen that mirrored in Noosa Waters and the addition of likeminded sales agents allows us to cover other areas on Noosa. We have now created the perfect team who believe in our way of selling real estate.
With so many people enjoying our Noosa way of life, it goes without saying as to why there are a high percentage of people turning their idyllic holiday into something more permanent.
Being small, and community minded, does not mean we are not growing.
This interstate migration has fuelled our busiest year yet, with Noosaville, and in particular Noosa Waters bringing the most enquiry into our office. Time on the market has dramatically reduced with buyers ready to act the moment we list.
We are praised by our vendors for our unique marketing strategy that not only showcases the home but places a strong emphasis on Noosa and the truly idyllic location that we call home. Being a referral agency that consistently delivers results in a fluid marketplace is something we are extremely proud of.
If you were to ask me what my greatest achievement has been, it would have to be opening the kind of office that I have dreamed about ever since we began. Our central location at 37 Mary Street, Noosaville – the house with the red doors – is now home to Marek Realty. We have lovingly restored it to its former glory and it is so much more than a real estate office… it is ‘The Home of Property’.
