Christmas on the Coast
As Christmas comes to Noosa, the local community is celebrating the festive season from the coast to the countryside. Georgia Beard prepares a wish list of all the events, exhibitions and feasts we have to experience!
Strings of multicoloured lights dangle from trees and rooftops, gift stores bustle with parents clutching wish lists and carols can be heard on the wind. It’s the dawn of Christmas, when we feel that festive spirit settling over Noosa to make us ready for the arrival of the man in red himself.
The region is coming alive with festive celebrations of every kind. From traditional roast feasts to local festivals to artisan markets, we’re coming together to rejoice in all things merry and bright.
FESTIVITIES
Father Christmas is stopping in the heart of Noosa from 13 to 19 December! Find Santa at his hut on Noosa Main Beach in front of the Noosa Heads Surf Club. Book a free 5-minute time slot to confirm your space or opt for a walk-in space. Santa’s elves will be on the beach to take your photo but please bring your own camera or mobile phone for them to use.
Looking for more festive fun on Hastings Street? Over the summer holidays, local Sunset Buskers will serenade you live on the street every night!
Santa Photography returns to Noosa Civic! Families can register for photos on the day and enjoy Christmas shopping while they wait for a text to let them know it’s their turn!
Kids can meet Santa and tell him all their Christmas wishes, with or without a photo, before receiving a Christmas-themed headband. If you opt for an official 2022 Santa photo, the kids will receive a drawstring Santa Sack decorated by watercolour artist and pattern designer Cass Deller!
Kids with sensory needs can meet Sensitive Santa. Even our furry friends can jump in on the action and onto Santa’s lap with Santa Paws photography.

The 58th Annual Peregian Beach Carols are back! On Wednesday 21 December from 3pm in Peregian Park, experience the festive sounds of local musicians, choirs and dancers while enjoying food and artisan stalls, face painting, a laser light show and a special visit from the man in red himself!
BUTTER FACTORY CHRISTMAS MARKETS
Christmas Markets, hosted by the Cooroy Future Group, will be held at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre on 9 December from 4pm to 8pm. Delight in food trucks, live music, pottery throwdowns, market stalls, a pop-up bar, artisan Store and the Eclectica exhibition, presenting a new collection of Butter Factory Friends artwork for awards in 2D, 3D, Ceramics, Portraiture and People’s Choice.
NOOSA ARTS & CRAFTS CHRISTMAS MARKET
Explore an arts and crafts market brimming with Christmas gifts for all the family from 26 to 30 November, 9am to 3pm daily. From eclectic artisan creations to bespoke jewellery to festive decorations, all gifts are unique and made by Noosa Arts & Crafts Associations members.

Gather your loved ones and let ALBA spoil you with a delicious Christmas menu while you simply relax and enjoy the festivities with your family. Peter Kuruvita has created a decadent 4-course menu that focuses on beautiful local produce in a celebration of Christmas in the Queensland summer!
