Experience the Peregian Beach Vibe

The Village at Peregian Beach is a unique space that will soon host its very own weekend festival powered by the people, for the people. Jolene Ogle checks out what is on offer.

Peregian is blessed with one of the best beaches on the Sunshine Coast but it is more than sunshine and sand. It is the home to Noosa’s Digital Hub as well as boasting one of the region’s best skate parks and parklands for great events such as the free music concert known as Peregian Originals.

It is also the only place to have a true village square, reminiscent of days gone by when community used to gather in the square to share the news of the day and swap, trade or buy life’s essentials.

And that is why we have paired with the Peregian Beach Business Association to present The Village Vibe Guide, your go-to guide on the best the Village has to offer and you can read it by clicking right here.

In case you need a special reason to experience the true village feel of this magical area, the Village Vibes Festival kicks off on Friday 20 September with Twilight Friday and Wellness Saturday. The free community event is an evolution from the Food & Fashion Fiesta that used to be held every September.

The Village Vibes Festival will celebrate and showcase the diverse range of businesses that make up this thriving community hub. From food to fashion, health and fitness, legal services, real estate, mortgage brokers and so much more, The Village at Peregian Beach is a vibrant hub where you can spend an entire weekend eating, shopping, exploring – even getting advice from specialist experts.

If you want a taste all the best bits of The Village at Peregian Beach, the Village Vibes Festival offers the best taste test. Event organiser and owner of Peregian Beach Hotel Kylie Plunkett said the Village Vibes Festival was a great chance to showcase to the community just what is on offer in The Village at Peregian Beach.

“We are celebrating this unique and authentic village we call home,” she says.

“Peregian Beach is the only place in Noosa to have a village square and we want to invite everyone to come and experience our warm and friendly vibe.”

Those who love to try new tastes will love the Taste & Sip Tour on Friday night where you can wander between Pizzami, Pitchfork, the Peregian Beach Hotel and Captain’s Daughter as you try a special taste plate and enjoy exclusive drink deals until 8pm.

Cellarbrations will host an organic wine tasting and you can drop by the Peregian Beach Hotel for a pop-up bar showcasing Stone & Wood’s new spring brew.

There’s something for every taste! Roving entertainment and live music will turn the village square into a bustling hub filled with food lovers, kids having fun and the sweet sounds of local, live music.  It’s going to be an awesome night you won’t want to miss.

The Village Vibes Festival has a strong family-friendly focus, just like the village on a regular day. On Saturday, there will be a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party for the little ones, as well as live music, giant garden games, plenty of space to run around and fresh gelato over at the Peregian Pantry.

Fur babies are always welcome at Peregian and on Saturday 21 September, they can have their photo taken at Peticular with $5 from every photo to be donated to the Noosa RSPCA. Plenty of local cafes are pet-friendly so you can stop by the Wellness Village and find out more about health and fitness in Peregian Beach.

This is a relaxed, community event perfect for anyone who wants to explore a taste of everything this great village has to offer. Put it in the diary, Village Vibes from Friday 20 to Saturday 21 September – or head down at any time to soak up the Village Vibe.
