With regular workshops, gatherings and wellness events creating a serious buzz, Alsahwa Estate is staking its claim as the Sunshine Coast hub for all things MIND, BODY and PLANET, discovers Rebecca Jamieson Dwyer.

At Alsahwa Estate, bees buzz in hives, the scent of eucalyptus fills the air, and people gather under towering trees with the shared purpose of learning and connecting. There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by like-minded people, and the Alsahwa team is passionate about bringing together those interested in biodynamic farming, sustainable living, wildlife conservation and holistic wellness through the community events they’ve been running since they opened their doors in early 2024. From beekeeping and meditation to yoga and biodynamic farming, a kids’ eco day out and fire cooking classes, there’s something for everyone at this beautiful ex-macadamia farm hidden away on the Sunshine Coast.

“The connection to nature here is quite special,” said Alsahwa founder Jo Walker. “We love it when our guests leave feeling restored and informed – that’s what it’s all about for us.”

Run by a passionate team with endless ideas and enthusiasm, and guided by their brand philosophy of MIND, BODY and PLANET, the team at Alsahwa Estate is driven to share and educate people about the small changes we can all make to make this world a better place. And in uncertain times such as these, their thoughtful offerings feel like a balm for the soul – as does getting to spend time surrounded by nature in this magical spot!

Highlights from this year include the launch of their Wellness in Nature series, where they teamed up with high-profile yoga and pilates instructors, meditation teachers, sound-bath specialists and more to offer attendees a serene morning of self-care and reflection beneath the gently rustling leaves of the property’s original macadamia trees. Don’t miss the final event in the series for 2024, an Introduction to Meditation with Laura Poole, on Friday 6 December, where you’ll learn the secrets of ‘rewilding your mind’ with an effortless Vedic meditation practice – something we surely all could benefit from as the year comes to a close.

Another series, just recently launched, is the Estate Exchange – In Conversation With… series of lunches, where attendees are invited to come along and share a meal with a high-profile person, finding inspiration in their story, the thoughtful food, the deep connections made at the table and the beautiful surrounds. Every Estate Exchange event features a different speaker with a menu and welcome cocktail carefully crafted in collaboration with this person to reflect their values, making for a unique, memorable experience.

As this issue of IN Noosa Magazine hits the stands, we’ll be partnering with Alsahwa Estate to present the first Estate Exchange event with biodynamic farming legend and Alsahwa Ambassador Charlie Arnott on Saturday 30 November. Featuring a two-course lunch cooked outdoors over hot coals by Terra Firma Dining – a delightfully sensory sustainable experience – plus a special welcome cocktail co-created by Charlie with local distillery Sunshine & Sons. If you weren’t savvy enough to get your tickets, follow Alsahwa Estate on Instagram and Facebook for all the fun from the day!

Passionate about good food and good people, Alsahwa Estate also has another delicious long lunch series in the works for 2025 called FEAST – a celebration of local flavours featuring stunning tables set with wildflowers and dishes crafted from nearby farms, making it a must-attend for foodie fans! Each long lunch will showcase a local chef from the Noosa and Sunshine Coast regions, who’ll work with Alsahwa to create a unique menu featuring local produce in their signature style. The line-up is still being finalised, but there’s an exciting first event planned for the first quarter of 2025 – more details coming soon that are sure to whet your appetite!

The Alsahwa Estate online store features a curated collection of thoughtful gifts, treasures and tools to help you on your sustainability journey, and as if that wasn’t enough, the Alsahwa Estate team has a HUGE surprise announcement coming in 2025 that’s guaranteed to cement their status as one of the most exciting spaces on the Sunshine Coast. It really is all happening at Alsahwa Estate!
