He founded Sunshine Express Airlines in the late ‘90s, linking the Coast to Brisbane and beyond, and went on to co-found Alliance Airlines, which now boasts a fleet of over 70 jet airliners across Australia.
Steve’s commitment to the Coast runs deeper than business. In the early 2000s, he convinced Singapore Airlines to relocate their jet training college to the Sunshine Coast, building a $50 million facility that brought students and investment to the region. When Singapore Airlines eventually returned operations to Singapore, Steve stepped in again, purchasing the facility and transforming it into one of the largest privately-owned advanced simulation centres in the Southern Hemisphere.

The recent acquisition of a Mechtronix Ascent Airbus A320 simulator is a big deal, not just for the company, but for the Coast.
