Accessing healthy, wholesome and real food is about to get a lot easier as Deb Caruso discovers.

Keeping it fresh has always been a priority for local chef, cookbook author and business owner Nilla Tomkins of VanillaFood.

After almost ten years of dishing up the delights at VanillaFood inside Belmondo’s Organic Market in Noosaville, Nilla will be opening a new chapter in her fresh, organic and wholesome food story.

Nilla’s Pantry will be located a few metres down from her flagship VanillaFood cafe and restaurant in Noosa Junction and will be a go-to for accessing food that not only makes you feel good, but is also good for you.

For Nilla, the new space will allow her to increase production of her already popular lines including her all-organic dips and dressings; soups and curries as well as other popular products including Kat’s Gluten-Free sourdough loaves.

“At Nilla’s Pantry we want to make it easy for people to access organic food that has been freshly made in house and with love,” she said.

This will include a fresh salad bar, grab-and-go meals as well as pre-prepared fridge and freezer meals and other goodies to take home.

In line with Nilla’s commitment to sustainability, all products will be made using the freshest, seasonal organic ingredients and with minimal waste.

Going one step further, Nilla’s Pantry will serve takeaway coffee in the iconic HuskeeCup, a reusable coffee cup that features recycled coffee husks as a raw material.

From 5.30am Monday to Friday, when you grab your cup of Joe, you will become part of the global HuskeeSwap coffee cup exchange program which offers all the benefits of a reusable coffee cup, with additional convenience.

Each time you purchase a cup of coffee to-go, you can drop off your previously used HuskeeCup, and the drink you order will be served in a freshly cleaned HuskeeCup.

Once again, Nilla has a knack of making us feel good while nurturing our needs and creating a brighter future for us all.
