“Both the Ocean View Room and the Ocean Lawn boast an unrivalled oceanfront location with breathtaking 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean,” she said. “Guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of the water, fresh sea breezes and the relaxing sound of the waves for a truly immersive coastal experience.”
The perfect venue for every occasion
The purpose-built Ocean View Room, located on the club’s second floor, features impressive floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sea. The only thing better than this is being on a boat! Comfortably accommodating between 30 and 160 seated guests or 250 guests cocktail-style, the room includes a private bar, restrooms, air conditioning, wheelchair access and a splendid balcony ideal for catching the sea breeze, whale watching, dolphin spotting – and a selfie.
Outside, the idyllic Ocean Lawn overlooks the beach. Accommodating 40 seated guests or 150 guests cocktail-style, this is the perfect spot for sunset cocktails, intimate weddings and elopements or other outdoor ceremonies. The Legends Room is another versatile space, perfect for conferences, private dining, and exclusive wine events. Paired with the Ocean Lawn, it’s also a fantastic option for elopements or more intimate celebrations. Flexibility is key to enhancing the Sunshine Beach Surf Club experience.
“Our venues offer exclusive use however for larger groups, they can be booked together,” offered Julie. “Imagine exchanging vows on the Ocean Lawn before moving upstairs for a seamless reception with those jaw-dropping sea views in the Ocean View Room!”

When it comes to food, the sky’s the limit and Julie says the catering team offer a variety of catering styles including alternate drop menus and grazing stations, share plates or a gourmet travelling feast for cocktail-style events.
“Our head chef works closely with clients to design custom menus and we cater to all dietary requirements to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience,” she said. “We also offer a selection of beverage packages that can be tailored to suit the event.”
Hassle-free event planning
The Sunshine Beach Surf Club doesn’t just offer a stunning setting – it can also provide full event coordination and support.
“Our dedicated functions and events team assists with everything from planning and delivery, liaising with all stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience,” Julie said.
The events team works with a trusted list of suppliers including stylists, entertainers, photographers, celebrants and cake makers to ensure an elevated experience. And there is also the flexibility for clients to work with their own suppliers. Beyond the sea views, supportive team and sumptuous menus, the Surf Club also adds those special touches which will take your event to the next level.
“We do takeaway canapes for couples during beach photoshoots and we have a bridal party pickup service and courtesy bus for guests so there’s no need to drink and drive,” shared Julie.
The venues are so popular that Julie advises that for weddings, couples book up to 12 months in advance while a three-month lead time is sufficient
for other types of events.

“Weddings are always special but we’ve also hosted exceptional charity events such as the Smart Pups Lunch and the Smile for a Child Lunch both of which have made a significant positive impact on our community,” said Julie.
