Wholesome Hearts at Organika

At the heart of Noosa’s favourite health food store is a wholesome team who live and breathe wellness. Carlie Wacker walks us through the community focused hub of all things good for the people and the planet.

Since 2007 Organika has been Noosa’s home of all things organic, sustainable and healthy.

With a mission to make organic and real food available for everyone, Organika offers everything a household could possibly need in one warm and welcoming location.

Stepping into Organika instantly lifts the spirits. It’s bustling with customers catching up for a coffee or chai tea.

During the breakfast and lunch peak periods the place is full of happy faces enjoying healthy and delicious food that is freshly prepared daily.

Shoppers pop in for organic bread or milk, others are taking their time browsing the aisles to discover the latest organic goods and enjoying the tunes.

Organika feels like home – it’s relaxed, the staff become your friends and the mood is always positive.

This local store is so much more than you expect – you feel better when you enter the building and you know every product is going to do you good.

The team have done their research, they walk the walk and are passionate advocates for making organic choices for a healthier you.

I can understand why Organika attracts such knowledgeable staff – they all hold the same values of living your best and fullest life with health and wellness the top priority. They care about the health of their customers and there is a level of trust that they know what they are talking about and are genuine in their recommendations.

Shopping at Organika is the healthy alternative to our big supermarkets – it alleviates the need to visit one actually.

You can shop for everything your household needs – organic, farm-fresh produce, fridge and freezer items to pantry staples, cleaning, baby and pet products, supplements, make-up, even wine.

They have the widest range of organic and dietary requirements available to everyone. And just so you know, eating healthy doesn’t have to hurt the hip pocket, there are options for all budgets for people that put wellness first. Organika is THE destination for everything health.

Fresh, organic food is prepared daily by the kitchen team who constantly assess ingredients to ensure quality, flavour and ultimate wellness for their customers.

It’s important to note that sustainability is at the forefront of everything they do, from biodegradable packaging to the elimination of single use plastics wherever possible.

Bulk food refill stations have been set up to further help customers be more environmentally-friendly.

You can even refill your cleaning and body care products. There are unpackaged bulk foods stations where you can fill your own containers with nourishing necessities; a Kombucha station takes pride in the centre of the store; and the latest addition is a Mt Beerwah water refill station – Noosa’s first spring water refill station – with more to come.

My favourite addition to the Organika experience is the new app. If you are time poor like me you can pre-order your coffee or smoothie and soon the full extended menu will be available to order online. They also have a membership program that allows you to redeem points against purchases instore.

As a business that sources the best organic produce from small, sustainable and local businesses they have a very close relationship with their suppliers.

Throughout the year we get to meet the makers, growers and producers when they hold pop up events in store.

I love that we get to know the people behind the healthy products we consume, it just adds that extra layer of connection with Organika.

The nurturing at Organika team are the heart to this health food shop – its no wonder you tend to linger longer once you step inside the iconic doors.
