Amplified Community with Studio Pilates Noosa

Alone we are strong but together we are stronger. Carlie Wacker shares how three Noosa businesses came together to support a community of health seekers.

The endless pursuit of health and happiness saw me sign up for my second fitness and food challenge with Studio Pilates Noosa and it really shone the light on how much stronger Noosa is when we come together.

Studio Pilates Noosa, Organika and Noosa Cartel joined forces for the Amplify 6 Week Challenge proving that a community working together cements a sense of belonging and how we all reap the rewards by supporting one another.

The Challenge by Studio Pilates is designed to equip clients with tools and tips to create sustainable healthy habits.

By partnering with other local businesses, they are not only bringing awareness to the wellness options available in Noosa but ensuring the new habits that challenge participants form can be accessed and continued long after the six-week period. The result is a happier, healthier community.

Laz Pocze and Timea Pocze-Graf are the Studio Pilates Noosa owners and since I became a member, I have been impressed by the way they seek to build a community around their studio that extends far beyond Pilates.

Their networking and engagement has resulted in some very successful collaborations and they are passionate about promoting other likeminded local businesses to clients.

For Studio Pilates, the Amplify 6 Week Challenge is as much about food as it is exercise. While fitting in four or more Pilates classes a week, we are also encouraged to follow a calorie-controlled diet that will teach us how and what to eat moving forward.

To assist us on the journey, Laz and Timea chose our much-loved local health food shop Organika as the breakfast and supplement partner. They offered discounts on Nutra Organics Super Green + Reds to support gut health and Collagen Build for muscle strength and repair. With the launch of their new app we could also order our chia bowls or smoothies for after a workout.

Noosa Cartel supplied our lunch and dinner menu, which was nothing short of spectacular. Having an amazing chef like Josh Smallwood (formerly Rickys Noosa) made it feel like I was eating out every night – not dieting.

I’ve long enjoyed the convenience of Noosa Cartel’s frozen gourmet meals but Josh designed a special menu that was ready-to-eat and calorie controlled. Lunch options included dishes such as roasted broccoli, almond and buckwheat salad with green goddess dressing; and teriyaki salmon noodle salad. The dinner options were just as mouth-watering with the likes of  Miso chicken noodle bowls; and Mediterranean eggplant with spinach and ricotta. At no point did I feel hungry or like I was missing out – everyone else was missing out! After the success of this partnership Josh is looking at  offering a calorie cotrolled menu option on a regular basis.

The cross promotion between these three health and wellness legends gave us Challengers the best support to amplify our results.

I lost four kilos, dropped centimetres and gained a better understanding of how eating healthy doesn’t have to feel like you’re missing out.

The encouragement from all parties involved just secures my loyalty to these caring, community-focused businesses.

Bravo Studio Pilates Noosa, Organika and Noosa Cartel – you make living in the Noosa community so special. Turns out we do more than get by with a little help from our friends.
