Sunshine Beach Surf Club is all about good times, good views and good music, regularly bringing the community together with live performances from Australian music royalty. Rebecca Jamieson Dwyer dives into the program to see what’s on offer.

If you’ve seen a rocking-great band recently, chances are it’s been at Sunshine Beach Surf Club. One of the Noosa region’s most popular live music venues, they have a revolving door of legends taking to the microphone, with past performances from people like Russell Morris, Kate Ceberano, Ross Wilson and many others!

This modern, beautiful club was completely rebuilt in 2020, and features two outdoor decks with panoramic ocean views, plus an atmospheric dining and bar area and a state-of-the-art games room.

As well as great acoustics, a big ol’ dancefloor and some delicious brews on tap, the Sunshine Coast Surf Club is open seven days – a welcoming place where everyone in the community is invited to meet, relax and connect.

True to form, they’ve got a fantastic line-up of events happening this Autumn – see what’s on offer below, and be sure to follow them on social media for future announcements!

It all kicks off with the final acts from the An Intimate Afternoon series with GANGgajang – a gang of 80s legends who were crowned ‘The World’s Best Band’ two years in a row by the World Pro Surfers Association! Happening on Sunday 24 March, we recommend rallying your own gang and grabbing your tickets before it’s too late.

The 80s love continues with pop/rock sensations Uncanny X Men hitting the stage for their reunion tour on Sunday 19 May!

Colourful and entertaining lead singer Brian Mannix is known for his stage antics and uncontrollable energy (one of the reasons they’re named after the Marvel comic book series), making this a not-to-be-missed extravaganza!

Thanks to sponsorship from Green Beacon Brewery, tickets are now almost 50% discounted to both these shows, making them just $60 per person for members (available through reception) or $75 for non-members – so it’s more affordable than ever to experience the magic of these legendary performers in person!

Local band Raw Ordio’s Special Easter Sunday Sunset Session promises epic tunes and epic vibes while the sun goes down, encouraging you to dance the afternoon away at this family-friendly event on Sunday 31 March!

With huge appearances at Splendour in the Grass, Elements Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, NZ Spirit Festival and more this year, Raw Ordio have repeatedly sold out their Queensland shows, and have an infectious raw energy that’s sure to get you moving.

And there’s more than great tunes happening over Easter! On Easter Saturday, guests also have the chance to win an Easter Hamper that’s choc-full of deliciousness – simply eat, drink and play to earn entries, with prizes being drawn from 3pm.

The Easter bunny will be spreading joy and hoppyness on Saturday at 1pm and 5.30pm PLUS on Sunday at 9am, 1pm and 5.30pm, bringing sweet chocolatey treats and sugar highs to little ones far and wide.

There’ll also be a balloon artist visiting on Easter Sunday 1pm to 3pm (get your animal requests ready!), plus you can enjoy a special Easter breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 8am.

Treat your mum to gorgeous food and great vibes on Mother’s Day, Sunday 12 May! Downstairs in the dining area there’ll be tantalising special offers and a special gift for the first 100 mums who walk through the door; while upstairs there’ll be an Eagles Tribute Show, with tickets including a two-course lunch and a complimentary drink on arrival.

The doors open at 11:30am and each mum will receive a special gift, with multi draw and lucky door prizes up for grabs!

Ending the Autumn season with a bang, rock legends Angry Anderson and The Filthy Animals will be doing their thing at the surfy on Sunday 23 June, with a special pre-show meet and greet.

Formed during lockdown, this tribute brand includes over 30 accomplished musicians from iconic bands, giving it official Australian Supergroup status.

Prepare to be blown away by their energy as they delight the crowd with hits old and new!

Sunshine, songs and sensational times?

It’s gotta be Sunshine Beach Surf Club!
