Noosa Biosphere Awards & Koala Gala (Melbourne Cup alternative)

More than 180 guests frocked up to hear from koala experts and raise more than $50,000 towards Noosa Wild Koala Fund. Sunshine Beach State High School students showcased eco-fashions and conservationist Dr Jane Goodall shared a video message. Inaugural Noosa Biosphere Awards winners included: Keeping it in Kin Kin, Noosa and District Landcare (Land); Noosa Integrated Catchment Association (Water); Rachel Lyons (Wildlife); and Noosa Environmental Education Hub (People and Economy).
