What’s brewing, cooking and happening…

TUCK IN

Searching for the culinary nostalgia of a school canteen? Line up for Tuckshop, Noosa’s made-to-order sandwiches and daily-baked desserts with a morning coffee, afternoon beer or cheeky vino!

GYMPIE TCE GREATS

Gympie Terrace is becoming a dining destination with a series of new openings.

The sun has risen on Luuna, Gympie Terrace’s soul cantina serving Mexican street food with a whole, plant-focused twist. Dine in or take away burritos, tacos or chimichangas!

Frenchie’s Brasserie owner David Singer and chef Justin North have opened two new venues: Apéro Noosa, the seductive new wine bar with Mediterranean share plates, classic cocktails and a wine list boasting over 160 bottles; and JD’s Chicken Co with chooks that have been brined, marinated and basted with secret spices on a traditional French rotisserie.

Slinking into the old Wanderlust space, Baxter’s Bar + Deli has recently opened.

GLORIOUS GUSTO

Gympie Tce institution, Gusto has a fresh new kitchen and fresh summer menu with citrus-cured salmon; freshly shucked oysters; and summer quail alongside new cocktails and an extensive wine list.

SUMMER HARVEST

XO Sunshine Beach’s summer menu hikes into the hinterland for farm-to-plate perfection. Chef James Wu sources over 50 species of edible flowers, herbs and vegetables from his Cootharaba farm, beef from Eastwell Farms, mushrooms from Wolvi, jackfruit from Kin Kin and lychees from the Glass House Mountains!

VA VA VANILLA

Summer has come to VanillaFood! Infused with organic goodness, the wholefood café’s new Cold Brew Spritz is perfect for a hot summer’s day. Pair it with Wild Rice Arancini Balls with Garden Peas, Pea Tendrils and Pea Aioli; or Sourdough Crumpets with Hemp Ricotta, Poached Eggs and Garden Pesto. Yum! Don’t forget the plant-based VanillaFood the Cookbook is 20% off for summer.

BIRD IS THE WORD

Noosa Junction’s free range chicken shop, Bird Noosa is now baking their own French sourdough baguettes and are about to open a second store in Hastings Street.

IMPERIALLY IMPRESSIVE

Brewed with a blend of rice and specialty malts, Heads of Noosa’s Limited Release Imperial Japanese Lager is big in every sense, and dangerously enjoyable.

SLOW & SMOKED

With a food truck fashioned from recycled weatherboard and red tin, The General Slow & Smoked Eumundi dishes out smouldering beef and pork burgers with a hearty side of chicken wings and chips.
