Looking for a change this summer? Amanda Stevens shares how Noosa Hair Salon EdwardsAndCo has you covered with the hottest looks for the season.

A new season brings exciting new looks and trends in hair so we asked EdwardsAndCo’s Jaye Edwards what was hot for summer.

The Scandi / California Brunette Hairline

The Scandi Hairline is a trending hair technique that involves highlighting the edge of your hairline and baby hairs a few shades lighter than your natural colour to brighten your whole look.

Less is more when it comes to this look with a little highlight going a long way.

The Scandi hairline is a quick session to transition into summer, it’s the equivalent of being sun kissed but for your hair!

The Californian Hairline is a less intense variation of the Scandi, it’s a tint to soften the hairline for the brunette girlies, without causing any damage or breakage and can be tailored to suit any shade of brunette.

Sparkly Copper

For the copper girls wanting a change for summer, blonde highlights are the way to go without compromising copper tones.

This process involves blonde highlights around the whole head to lift and add sparkle to your copper.

The trick is to drop your highlights off the root for a natural look and softer grow-out.

Chunky Highlights

The 90s chunky highlights are back and better than ever!

A high contrast blend of brunette and warm blonde ribbons add depth and dimension to the natural hair color, bringing out texture and warming up the look for the hotter weather.

Butterfly Cut

On par with the 90s supermodel blow out trend, the butterfly cut is the next big thing. It is a great way to create an illusion of fuller hair without sacrificing too much length.

This style works with all hair types and is a combination of short and long layers to give off a butterfly wing look whilst creating shape around the face.

Box Bob

The box bob is the lighter version of the blunt bob. It is soft and full, framing the face without the harsh lines of your traditional blunt bob.

Jane Birkin Bangs

For the ‘it’ girls wanting a change, this is your sign to get Jane Birkin bangs for summer. They’re light and wispy for the warmer season as they’re easy to style during the heat.

Effortlessly choppy, Jane Birkin bangs can be styled with or without a part in the middle.

Head into the salon to say a-head of the latest looks.
