GourMay Mary Valley

About

Get Ready for a bumper month of food events across Mary Valley Country.

This quiet region, sitting amongst rolling hills, 45 minutes inland from Noosa, and only 2 hours north of Brisbane, is one of the countries great food bowls. The fertile soil, and microclimates, allow for an extraordinary variety of culinary delights to start their journey to the table. It’s not a ‘one trick’ pony!

Once upon a time, the Mary Valley was ‘pineapple and green bean’ central, along with a thriving dairy industry, but now is home to organic beef, macadamia, avocado, persimmon, edible bamboo, pumpkin, goat cheese, leafy greens, yuzu, wine grapes and more.

There’s even an ‘edible’ native plant nursery.

Of course! There’re still pineapples, beans and dairy.

May is “Feasting Season” and a chance to meet the people who bring food to the table – workshops, farm tours, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Camp ovens, damper, bush tucker, competitions.

There will be art and film, music and dancing and so much more.

Join the good folks of Mary Valley Country and come ‘feast’ with us!
