About
Lucio’s Marina carries a 70-plus year family legacy of food and hospitality to the Noosa River, following the closure of the iconic Lucio’s in Sydney’s Paddington after 40 years. Matteo Galletto, son of the legendary Lucio and Sally Galletto, opened the new venture with wife Dieuwke Albertsma (the pair met working at the original Lucio’s), threading the old restaurant’s DNA, art, family recipes and philosophy, into a relaxed waterfront trattoria and aperitivo bar.
Head Chef Alberto Vitassovich leads a seafood-driven menu inspired by the family’s original Ligurian trattoria, working closely with local fishermen and farmers for a sustainable, responsible supply chain. Signature dishes include the Tagliolini 1983, an homage to the pasta that defined the original Paddington restaurant’s four-decade run, alongside handmade pasta, dry-aged fish and a substantial all-day bar menu.
Recognised in the 2026 Australian Good Food Guide Chef Hat Awards, Lucio’s Marina has firmly built its own Noosa identity.
