Bella Venezia has been a Mooloolaba dining institution since 1983, an ever-evolving Italian icon now fully owned and helmed by Kristine and Todd Young. What began life as a pizza and pasta bar (the original Venetian mural is still preserved behind glass) has transformed into one of Australia’s most awarded restaurants, with silky hand-cut pasta, fresh local seafood and a wine list of more than 550 labels spanning international prestige and emerging Australian vineyards.
The accolades keep stacking up, multiple consecutive AGFG Chef’s Hats, Best Wine List in Queensland, a World’s Best Wine Lists Award in London, and in 2025, three World Luxury Restaurant Awards presented in Singapore. Kristine and Todd have since brought that same magic to Fish House Steak & Grill around the corner on the Spit, which earned its own Chef’s Hat within just four months of opening.
